A stunning weekend at the Argentina GP saw a new name rising to the podium, with Marco Bezzecchi creating a little bit of history with his maiden premier class win, while it also marks a first-ever MotoGP win for the Mooney VR46 Racing Team.

In the Argentina GP, three Ducatis made it to the podium for the second time in MotoGP history.  Marco Bezzecchi (VR46 Racing Team) took his first MotoGP win ahead of Johann Zarco (Pramac Racing) and Alex Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP)

After today's race, Bagnaia is second in the overall standings, which sees Bezzecchi in the lead, followed by fellow Ducati riders Zarco (third) and Alex Marquez (fourth). Ducati remains first in the constructors' standings.

Meanwhile, Francesco Bagnaia closed the Argentina GP in sixteenth place after crashing out while he was second. The reigning World Champion blew a podium after what he labelled a "mistake".

Despite narrowly missing out on a return to the podium, a resurgent Franco Morbidelli will be very pleased with a P4 after a very difficult run of form. P5 went the way of Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing), Jack Miller (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) came from P16 on the grid to finish P6, as Quartararo climbs from P16 to P7 in what was a great recovery ride from the 2021 World Champion.

Luca Marini (Mooney VR46 Racing Team), Alex Rins (LCR Honda Castrol) and Di Giannantonio rounded out the top 10, with rookie Augusto Fernandez (GASGAS Factory Racing Tech3) going very well in P11. It was a disappointing day for Maverick Vinales and Aprilia Racing, the Spaniard was P12 ahead of Nakagami, Raul Fernandez (RNF MotoGP Team) and a lowly 15 place for Aleix Espargaro.

Bagnaia and Binder, the two crashers, crossed the line together in P16 and P17 – a frustrating Sunday for both.
